Hi Shaun, Some other modelers at the club are as silly as me and still using 27mhz. I could wait my turn or keep looking for crystal controled rx`s. Please do you know of a circuit diagram for the receivers I am looking for (It is beyond me make but other members are capable of constructing them), size or weight is not that important in a boat. Thank you, Malc.

The problem you'll have building your own is getting hold of a specific matching transformer ( Ardente D1001) used in most s/c rx circuits. Rarer than hens teeth now.
Keep checking eBay, s/c relay superhet rx's do turn up.

I'll keep looking.

Shaun.

I would avoid Macgregor Supermacs, the 470k IF crystals are just about unobtainable and you would probably have to get one cut, which is expensive.
Microns were good, RCS Guidance System, Futaba, Staveley all 455k.

or...

You can still use the Slim Jim on 2.4g you know :)

Hi Phil, Do you remember me from the single channel actuator emulators you have supplied, I am one of those silly people who still likes to use 27mhz single channel. I will keep looking out for suitable receivers as 2.4 is my last resort, I do appreciate you advice, Malc M.

Hi Malc,

I've had no luck yet finding any spare superhet relay rx's in my stash, Have you managed to source some?

Shaun.

Hi Shaun, No luck yet! I will keep looking around, I am sure the receivers are about with so many people converting to 2.4ghz. Thank`s for looking, Malc.
