Fast forward a few decades

Post by MJF »

After going through a Suzuki 150 two stroke, a couple of Triumph Bonneville's, a Harley we then went to a 77 BMW R100/7 in October 76 (which I still have), followed in 96 with a short stint on a new Gold Wing which was traded on January 97 on a new Honda Valkyrie Tourer and our Swiss army knife bike the 2001 BMW R1150GS. With my wife riding pillion we have travelled across the USA and Canada several times on these three. We love road trips. Collectively they have over 400,000 Km on the clocks.

We are off to Newfoundland in July on the 1150GS. My wife presented that bike to me at the dealer as a surprise 50th birthday present - a real keeper there - and her too! At the time I had no clue what was going on. She skilfully persuaded me, my brother and some friends into going over to the BMW / Guzzi dealer for their annual BBQ and test ride day under the guise of trying out a new Guzzi.
