Bamopro - Anyone else had problems?

Post by Stew »

Just wondering if anyone has has problems with dud engines from Bamopro, and then problems getting refunds for said dud engines...
If you have and you'd prefer to pm with details, feel free.

Hi Stew,
I'm surprised by this. John Goodall has always been one of the good guys. He always paid a fair price when buying from you and all the engines I've bought from him have been exactly as described.

Have you spoken to him or is it just via email?

Hi Shaun.

Been in email contact with Paul. I dont want to air dirty linen in public, but I have the beginnings of a 'cause for concern' shall we say, and just wondered if anyone had also had issues.
May still be cleared up without further trouble at this stage, and if so, I'd still use them again, they have a good selection of motors, but just putting feelers out to see if it's just me with issues right now.

Hi Stew,

I had forgotten that Paul had taken over from his dad John .

I hope you get things sorted.

Thanks Shaun, I'll let you know the outcome.

There are so few suppliers of such things as motors, without taking a chance on Fleabay etc, so I hope things get sorted too.

Hi all.

All sorted. Comms breakdown at his end. Refund issued. All squared away.
Problem was a new Boddo Mills turned out to be DOA. I've had 3 of them from Bamopro over the years, two were duffers and one was a cracking little motor. Both duds were refunded.
That's the only drawback with buying NIB old stock. The seller has no opportunity to test them.

Ah well. All's well that ends well.
