Hi Guys, just wanted to share with you all a project that I have had on the back burner for a little while and we have a Jet (the first as far as I am AWARE ?) now flying with Lemon Plug & Go module fitted in the Graupner MX22 Tx and 10 ch Gen Lemon receiver, and I think this might prove that good radio with a great range and reliable, solid control doesn't have to be disproportionally expensive!
Because we wanted to have some back up due to the model's speed and weight (10kg), we used an additional DSMX Lemon Diversity satellite with a 10 channel Gen2 receiver (with 3 axis gyro and vario/telemetry but not used initially) and the main flying controls are fed via a PowerBox Competition 40/24 Battery Backer with twin 5 cell Nimh receiver batteries.
Ground range test was approx 200 yards, it would have been a lot more but I got fed up walking!!
The jet is an all-moulded Aermacchi MB 339 in Frecce Tricolori colours fitted with flaps and retracts, Turbine is a JetCat P80SE with approx 10 kg thrust, it has 2 litre tank and runs on a 5% oil/kerosene mix and gives a safe flying time of around 8 minutes, there isnt a category for jets on Mode Zero, so thought I best post it here??
