Unknown engine parts

Post by Mike_K »

I had a job lot come from the USA and among the items were bits of an engine or more specifically the tank and inlet and exhaust port. Does anybody recognise what it's from? The bit I was after was a boxed receiver for a Good Brothers set from 1946 and the other bits such as some valves/vacuum tubes were of a similar 1940s era, so it's probably off an engine of that age. If it would be of any use to someone let me know.

I seem to remember that Orwick engines had an inlet/ exhaust setup like this. (Orwick 74)

Was the rx as good as expected Mike?

Thanks Shaun, it looks very similar to the Orwick I found on eBay (though obviously not the identical model), so I think it's worth putting the tank/induction port on eBay as spares.

I would word it as "believed to be Orwick" and stick the bolt hole dimensional spacings on as well.

Cheers. 👍

The engine Mike is showing looks more than an Ohlsson .56 Spark Ignition engine to me.
So the parts could also belong to one of the Ohlsson engines from Irwin "Irv" Ohlsson.
