Can't beat the bark of a sparkie. Never had one yet. I aim to remedy that very soon.

Excellent Jef.. I've always been a big sparkie fan along with diesels.

I have a casting for a Sugden Special. Always wanted to make another one after I half finished one at school but it got misplaced after I left. Bought the casting around 20 years ago with good intention but it never happened. My mate then sold his lathe so I use it as a paper weight now. ☹️

Hi Jef,
I may (slim chance) have a spare one, I'll look for you tomorrow. Not been in the engine box for a few years. You could always use the coil that OS supplied with there remanufactured K6 Sparker. I'm sure they will still supply it as a spare. I have also seen new old stock coils for sale on the US eBay site on a number of occasions as well.

Cheers,

Shaun.

Prices on eBay are quite high , from 70 to 100 € for a coil :?
And then the shipping and taxes on imports from the US for about half of the amount paid :?
Some of my other sparkies

Larry Davidson in the U.S. does his own coils which can take up to 3.7v. US$40.00.
He advertises in 'sticks and tissue' and knows his stuff.
