Pixie Mk1 Case - Modified

Post by davejones »

I modified the OpenSCAD drawings by Mike Kitchen to suit my own build.
The mods included making the top/bottom and walls thinner to easier fit the boards and battery, removing the mounts and holes for RF module, adding a battery compartment and changing the on/off switch centres to 15mm.

Dave, I want to have a go at printing your case but my slicer (Creality) can't handle OpenSCAD files...... Is there any way you can make this available as an STL file?

Openscad (which is free) can output .stl files. Just open the .scad files in Openscad, render the mesh (F6 - takes ages on a slow computer), View All (Ctrl + Shift + V), then from the File menu choose Export, Export as STL.

I've done it for you, (attached) unless you need to modify something. Notice that the STL files (in zipped form) are about 143 times larger than the .scad files (in zipped form) that created them!

Thanks Martin. Saved me a trip downstairs and back!

Paul - I'm not sure how will they will print on an FDM printer as I modified the files with a resin printer in mind.
