Could someone confirm what the outside dimensions of this should be.
I've just started printing but it seems very small.

Cura says 91x57x7.94mm for the lid. Does that sound right?
Thanks.

Never mind. I forgot to turn off the Brim setting & it was printing an inner brim.
All good.

Hello Ron:

If I have someone print the Pixie enclosure for me what type of material should I request?

Thank you.

Hi Eugene

It depends what quality finish you want. Personally I would always choose resin. This is quite expensive though, but you get what you pay for. You will get a lot more detail with resin.

Ron:

Thanks for the quick response. I will download your files and take them to a local printer to "give it a go". Next I'll need to get Phil to send me another of his magic emulators.

Here's one in PLA. Will need some priming before paint.

I'll try one in ABS at some point but I'm only 2 weeks into this 3d printing caper so still a lot to learn.

Play and learn with PLA as ABS is much trickier requiring more attention to details, heated printing bed and a very good adhesion to the bed. I have seen ABS warp to the extent that Kapton was lifted off from the underneath surface. I would rather recommend to use the filaments from the PET family like PETG

Eugene,
Heres some photos of my Pixie receiver 3D printed in resin. As you can see, the quality is great.
