Thanks Spike with the closed loop suggestion, am still experimenting with the pushrod, but am getting some interaction between them despite tapering the rudder pushrod.
Anyway, busied myself with carefully (!!!) Bonding the elevator horn to its pivot rod and the incidence peg with thin cyano and lots of Vaseline where I didn't want glue to be, and......Phew it still moves freely!!
Made up a fin post laminated from balsa and spruce and dry fitted 3 pin hinges and a carbon rudder horn. Gave the elevator halves a bit of a sand too.
This is how the tail cone looks at teabreak today, starting to resemble Cirrus now.

Stuart, I use a closed loop system on the rudder with great success.
Don´t forget to use lots of differential on the ailerons, it needs to go up a lot more than to go down. (about 70%).
I also use 100% aileron-rudder mix when flying with the aileron wing. Frank

Have managed to get the rudder operating now with the pushrod and got the 30 minute epoxy out and after smearing the moving parts with vaseline, the fin post is now bonded in place!
and whilst I has some epoxy leftover, I bonded the ply motor mount into one of Graham Gooch's amazing Depron Typhoons that has been in the workshop for too long and not requiring too many more coats of looking at! Two projects on the go at Swaffham Aircraft works now!

Canopy now bonded to its hatch and a final shot in the raw before a final sand and getting out the white Oracover.

I'm watching this with interest. I'm restoring both a Cirrus and a Cumulus and looking at moulding an epoxy glass fuselage for both. Never could understand why Graupner went for that bulbous canopy on the Cumulus? They're both going to have the more streamlined Cirrus one.

Re: Graupner Cirrus 21st Century edition
Just a quick update, I have decided to fit electric spoilers to each wing panel to try and make the landings a bit more controllable, so this has delayed progress on the covering and completion of the model and I will be back with more updates very soon!
