How about a Mini Robot and Robot section?
I've seen some great examples on the forum
A good flyer and robust

Re: Veron Mini Robot / Robot
As the proud owner of both a Robot and a Mini-Robot.......
I applaud the sentiment but aren't they covered by other sections?

Re: Veron Mini Robot / Robot
I've built a Veron Robot back in 1968. Here's my sis holding the plane. I really like to rebuild this plane from plans that I've kept coming winter.
I welcome any pictures and stories in connection to the Veron Robot

Re: Veron Mini Robot / Robot
Paul - I admire your Robot / Mini Robot - fine examples - hoping they flew well at Ponty
I searched Mini Robot on Mode Zero and found your picture and one other mention - so hoping OK to post here
I have been building variations of Mini Robot - 28" and sadly not in balsa (no build space except kitchen table and asthmatic son)
Tried EPP version - white - (which was finished pre-Ponty as had hoped to come) / 6mm depron - grey / black foam (that used to be blue)
Built up wing is 1/64 ply main spar and will be covered in doculam (clear) Might do black foam wing in red solarfilm as have end of a roll
All needs a bit of tidying up
RC is a jumper lite with s/c compound emulator EPP version has elevator / 6mm depron is rudder only
Also going to build a 2mm depron version with WL toys module - to fly rudder only - hoping it will be light enough

Re: Veron Mini Robot / Robot
Should have done this earlier on an easier day
In order to be a Tobe raffle hopeful this the Mini Robot flight from today (= within a month after Ponty)
The four wings on the right are experiments
Foam - 19 gms - short ply spar
2mm depron over 6mm ribs - small area of LE underside is double surface - 38 gms
Blue (black foam) - 48 gms
Blue (black) foam extended wing - 62 gms - have yet to try this one
Foam on the M Robot was 49 gms - ply spar - double surface TE
The three wings I have tried all pretty much the same - a calmer day would help
Had to fly from the top of the slope as so turbulent behind trees at the bottom
I used Pascal Langer's S/C emulator and in the spirit of the event no elevator and fixed throttle setting (too much)
Fairly tricky as you can see - mixture of turbulence, too much throttle and poor piloting...
Will try again from a flat field and throttle on a switch
I remember the original with s/c and a DC Spitfire 1cc as being much more sedate

Nick, I'd definitely consider that a success - well done
Cheers,
