Hi,
Has anybody got a motor similar to the above they don't want.
Spec is 7*4. 7*6 prop. 300watt 1600kv or so for 3s use.
I have a number of new lower KV motors of similar size I would be happy to swap.
Cheers,
Shaun.
Wanted.. 300 watt 28-34. 28-36 size motor 1600kv. Or similar

Yes, thanks... but I am on a mission to build this model from my scrap box and not buy anything. It was a bet I made with a fellow modeller..

28"span, 100mph pylon racer that's also insanely aerobatic. One of the lads in the club has designed it so a few of us have built it to wring it out. Should be in a future RCM&E.
It accelerates vertically.
Quick to build; built the uncovered airframe in just over 3 1/2 hrs with no stops and 2 building boards on the go.. It does have a sheet wing though.

Hi Shaun
I've got a 2212/16 2200 Kv motor that does 268W on a 7x5
It's a bit smaller that what you are asking for but it should do the job.
If you are interested I'm away from home until next week, I can post it to you when I get back.
Nice little model you've built for it

Hi Shaun,
I've got a couple in the "close, but no cigar" category, if you are interested?
1) Turnigy Aerodrive 2836 2500kV 405 watts 2 or 3S LiPo
2) Turnigy EDF 22260 (?!) 3000kV 650W
That 2nd one is a bit of an animal! The first one is closest to your requirements.
Let me know if you are interested!

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the offer . The motor is just a little light on power to make it the lunatic steed I'm after. Actually looking in the scrap box I've found a range of 2212 motors I used in drones etc.
Thanks again for the offer though; it was appreciated.
Pete , I'll give you a call...405 watts in a 28" span model should be savage. Probably need a 6" prop though.. Glad I used a metal wing bolts not plastic......
Regards,
Shaun.
