I have always been interested in this charming little glider. I never had one, but as there is an emerging Vintage scene here in NL, I decided this is the time to catch up with it. The original is FreeFlight, but I designed and built a RC-version. Not flown yet, but I'm about to. Here's a few pics:
Max.

Hi Max. Nice looking model , how are you going to launch it? Tow, bungee, throw, slope?
I hope it flies as good as it looks.
Cheers

For now, throwing only for trimming. We'll see how it goes, I may even build a small electric winch.........
Max, I have resized your nice pictures to be under 1 Mib in the effort to save space on the server, Cheers, Tobe

Nice job there Max,
Small models have their fascination and for that purpose I have designed a small nRF24L01 Rx, the green one, slightly smaller than the old OrangeRx Micro, the blue one shown here with the removed orange shrink This one runs nicely on 1s Please share more projects

Re: Graupner Der kleine UHU
Here comes another Graupner vintage glider, the Schleicher K-10.
It was available as a kit from 1964 until the early 70ies and had a foam fuselage.
Wingspan is 200cm, AUW including the power pod is 1350g. It uses rudder and elevator and is covered in tissue.
I built it from an original kit which I acquired decades ago on a flea marked for little money.
It flies very good using a dummy Taifun Hurricane on a 3S Lipo. Greetings
Frank
