Sorry I thought they were different escapements and the the top one looks awfully like an ED clockwork escapement, but it's possible that ED did a rubber driven escapement I don't know about, hopefully somebody else can tell us. Or as you say, somebody could have modified and ED escapement.

Hi Paul,
Just seen this thread..
The esc is a modified ED one. The ED relay and green anodised frame are the giveaway.

I'll dig one out and post a photo of an original one when I have a min.
