Aristo Craft Code-A-Matic stick controller

I picked up this up on eBay and after some cleaning up and oiling, got this unit to function again. It's a "beep-box" that uses mechanical energy to actuate a series of contacts to create the keying sequence for an escapement system. It's quite an ingenious set up inside the box, see the second video.
I installed it on my old Ceto 27 MHz transmitter and used it to fly a Scientific Models all-balsa Shoestring that I installed a Citizenship compound escapement system in and a Redfin .020 diesel for power. I use a modern 27 MHz Futaba RC car receiver modified to drive the escapement relay when a tome is detected. The stick control works great on this rudder only model and I have the button on the transmitter as back-up if I want to fly in the conventional manner.
