There's a ghost in my house.

Post by Shaun »

The ghost of a memory. Who remembers that classic by R Dean Taylor?

Anyway this ghostly memory is of my original Macgregor GG set. All pristine and shiny.

Well this one is a shadow of it's former self.... decidedly tatty.

Totally out of character I'm converting it as is and not repainting it.

Rustoration or oily rag I believe it's called in the car world.

I'm not sure I can live with with this level of tattiness but we shall see. Internals and stick unit are like new, but it's obviously had a life.

Phil fettled the Arduino propo s/w for me a year or so ago. It has rudder , ele, throttle up and down on the buttons and a throttle cut/ lock plus
rates on the ele and rudder to accommodate various actuators such as Tobes or an original rand etc.

It will take a few days to get around to.

Shaun.

Shaun, I think it would with better if it had a joystick...

It doesn't look that bad, no worse than my day to day Skyleader. They call it patina, well that's what I like to call it. You won't be worried about using it and getting it scratched, perfect.

All done and working. My first rustoration project. The MacG lives again.

The 2 blue preset pots on the daughter board are to adjust ele and rudder rates

Switch on top right is for throttle cut.
