Here is another example for a very rare model using the same technique for a dummy motor, a Webra Winner 2.5ccm diesel engine.
The model is a Hegi 60 U-control combat racer, which I converted to R/C using the elevator as elevons. The only changes I did :
I increased the fin area by about 50% and mounted it straight and cut of the longer wing half so they are equally long now.
It is really a great flyer, tighter loops are simply not possible.

Looks great Frank. The reason I asked is I saw an article in FMT (I believe) many years ago where a genuine OS 60 was modded and had an out runner fixed where the backplate originally was, piston , liner etc removed and a new shaft and front bearing to replace the crankshaft. Looked great but must have been heavy.

Re: New mystery model
Lovely job Frank, as usual
I have a Robbe ASK16 about 2/3 done, but it's been in storage for far too long
while travelling around doing project work. Wings are framed up, including retracts & spoilers & tailfeathers made & covered. I've filled in the engine bay cutout, always intending it to be e-powered.
I think the Robbe 16 is a little larger than the Graupner 14, but they sure do look very similar, more so than the full-size originals.

Re: New mystery model
The robbe ASK16 is a great model, larger than the ASK14, and looks great in the air especially when equipped with retracts.
I never had one and it is hard to get one, even in Germany.
I still have another very old kit of an ASK14, even older than the Graupner one. I hope to build that one too in the future.
That one is larger, about the size of the robbe ASK16.
