Around 1970 our club the SSA held indoor meetings at a Uni building in Sheffield, we used to fly electric indoor C/L back then, all-sheet profile models with a slot-car motors and a small 12v lead-acid in a shoulder bag... a bit like RTP but you were the pylon, and had elevator control :D
I quite fancy a go at C/L again, the Carrier Deck class looks interesting, slow as you can, fast as you can, then a spot landing... :D
Would have to be electric though, dont fancy all the oily mess that goes with IC...

Another better video of that indoor control line flying. Not sure if the same flight but it is the same person flying. Throttle Tx is in his left hand.

People yakking in the background are other flyers socializing rather than observing an amazing flight.

....then there is the alternative. 12V car battery at the 'Ballards' pole, two wires carrying the current to the model fitted with a 1 gram 4 channel Rx with an esc and a 2 gram micro servo on elevator... saves getting dizzy. :D
You only ever need two tools....WD40 and duct tape.
If it doesn't move when it should use the WD40 and if it moves and it shouldn't use the tape.
