It's called "mission creep".drigotti wrote: 25 Jul 2025, 13:00 How has a request for a speed plane electronics turned into a discussion on F2B??????

Of course it shouldn't. Apologies for that.drigotti wrote: 25 Jul 2025, 13:00 How has a request for a speed plane electronics turned into a discussion on F2B??????

I stumbled on this answer/question suggesting that, when standard lines were to be used, this would short circuit the signal...

Therefore, as it seems there is so little knowlegde about electric CL, I decided to give an example of where we are now and how this is handled.
Coming up with the near perfect Basic Carrier Deck controller, using insulated lines, and a relatively current F2B application.
I'll have to admit, I had to look up F2G myself. I know the FAI classes from A to D, but anything beyond I never saw at contests I attended.
Didn't stick as a result.....

But F2G looks impressive/outright spectacular! I've even found a video from Swiss origin, where flying took place at the 'Schwalbennest', near Breitenbach. I re-started my international 'career' there in 1981, until the end in 2016.
One thing that keeps me puzzled:
In F2A, the (one blade, counterweighted) prop is mounted in a position for stopping in an upright position, as not be damaged during the landing.
How is this taken care of in F2G?
F2B or not to be....

2 bladed APC PLASTIC props are used by all. Landing skid is long enough to allow prop to "stop" (freewheel) in any position.
