Simple question.
What model building tool do you love the most/couldn't manage without, and why?

1. My Dremel
2. My home made fuselage jig
3. My home made slotting saws (worn junior hacksaw blades - 1 = 1/32" , 2x = 1/16", 3x = 3/32", 4x = 1/8")
4. A little tool which grabs screw or bolt heads in retractable "claws" and allows positioning and initial tightening in otherwise impossible locations. Can't remember where it came from 40+ years ago.
5. Swann Morton No. 10A blades and handles
6. A4, A3 and A2 size cutting mats

Re: Favourite tools
- Flat building board (I use an vintage wooden drafting table, removed from its frame).
- I like to use a #3 scalpel handle with Swann-Morton #11 scalpel blades, but I do need to be careful when using excess force as they tend to break and ping across the room - possibly embedding themselves in something unfortunate such as my eye.
- Dressmaking pins.

Re: Favourite tools
That's why I use Swann Morton 10A blades (not to be confused with the No. 10, which is curved) Martin - a bit more robust than the No 11.

Re: Favourite tools
I remember the Swann Morton blades. But, where I live now the nice young men in the white coats wont let me have anything sharp!
More seriously, I concur with Sundancer plus I occasionally use the heavier Swann Morton autopsy handles and blades or a Stanley knife.

Re: Favourite tools
No:11 Exacto blades and a Zona knife handle (the one that tightens from the other end), so much you can do with them. Been using them since the late 1960's, tried others, always come back to the No:11 blades, found an Ebay seller, 100 original Exacto blades for around $6 AU (delivered).
Cheers,
Dave
